And then in 2012, it dropped to under 10 percent, compared with 7.9 percent for nonveterans. This drop is due in part to the president's commitment to the issue. Last year he called on the private sector to help. And today, Wal-Mart did just that, announcing that it would hire more than 100,000 veterans over the next five years. But some Wal-Mart workers aren't so sure about the move. The film, "Fire in the Blood," is one of two Indian documentaries to make it into Grand Jury competition at this year's Sundance Film Festival. In "Fire in the Blood," Gray tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies have managed to block access to life-saving, low-cost AIDS medications following their release in 1996, causing more than 10 million unnecessary deaths.
